Biography

Olga Alexeeva

I am a former USSR citizen, former actress, a Mother of a 23-year old son, and a citizen of United States of America.

I came to this country in 1991, and have established a new life. It took some time for me to learn English and to develop new friends and relationships. I have worked hard and have been successful enough to have my own roof over my head.

Color and forms were always in my life on the stage, where I spent 13 years, or at home - I always felt mysterious meaning of shadows and movement of a body, strange order of average things around me. I had to follow the summon of nature to express and reflect. Now I live it and love it.

Someone said: "Nobody becomes an artist unless they have to" So, my "have to" is here and I hope you find something appealing to you.

Presently I am a member of the Tennessee Art League and a student of the wonderful and ageless Ms. Hazel King , who said "you can do it if you want to".

So, I learn every day from workshops and lectures, from trips to Europe and to the market - life is the best teacher and I want to measure up to my own call. Painting gives me the communication channel with audiences and makes my life more colorful - never dull or empty, but everchanging, just like me.
