Mushtaq Noor
Mushtaq Noor
opened his eye in a small agricuturist family of a far flung vallage of
Pakistan. He WAS only 3 when his father died of an accident. Under very
hard days, however, he got his B.Sc. Engineering degree from UET. Lahore.
He joined Government service but left soon. He laid down foundation of
his Public Ltd. Co. being its Managing Director. Unfotunately one of his
old trusted friends joined him business but soon cheated him batraying
his blind faith in him, rendering him penniless, homeless. He WAS constrained
to leave his country. He had to undergo manifold tortures, on one hand
but killing of time, to forget all that, WAS another crushing agony to
undergo. He can't forget the day 13th September 1997, he WAS starving for
three days, dejected and weeping he went drowsy when someone asked him
to start poetry and painting, as it WAS good for him to kill time, what
he never did or thought in life.
He started extensive study of philosophy of Iqbal(1877-1938), the Poet
of the East and to be more involved he remained making certain sketches
against ideas so captured. He had never attended any school of art but
his innate power, to conceive and express through brush, had surprisingly
developed. All his artwork is based on certain revelations made on him
as a result of that dive in philosophy as aforesaid, spread over 3 to 4
years. By the time he had also written three four books in urdu poetry.
Now the sketches drawn were with him but were of no use. He tried his level
best to arrange some funds for painting materials etc. but faild. At last
during January 2002 a friend Shahid Razzak from America arranged him a
little donation to try his luck, hence this art.
All praise and graciousness be to God Almighty who sends each soul labeling
a unique level of intelect to perform his part of drama, blessing him certain
attributes. It is God who unveils these hidden virtues at a stage He deems
fit during life of a person, purely as a pre-set program, that only God
knows! The artist is of the view and firm belief that there is no wonder,
skill or role, whatsoever, at the hands of the artist to be praised.
