Brief :

Leda Pingas, WAS born in Buenos Airs, Argentina. In addition to its studies of degree, made Chinese and Japanese painting studies, cerámi, lacquer, music, dance and theater.

Hers artworks were exposed in diverse collective and individual exhibitions in Buenos Aires and Inner of country and she has obtained prizes and mentions in Drawing and Painting like Lirolay, Givré Foundation, Saap, Synopsis, Praxis, Malvinas Cultural Center , Superior Personal Association of SEGBA Square of the Lights, Lola Mora Room, Hall Outstanding Center Yukio Mishima, Country home of Catalunya Room- Tapla 95 -, Cultural Center Recoleta - Tapla 96 -, Center Vidal Arts (Brazil 1996), Banespa (Brazil 1996), Cultural Center Recoleta (1997). Leda is registered in the Pinacotec of KIbutz Gazit de Galilea, Israel.

Among other artistic activities she has worked: escenography, choreographic assistances and theatral direction ones in several putting on like: Arround the Square, Body Message, the Garays, Argé Group, Hanging Bridge, Group Carob tree, Paraiso Group, The doll in the Library.

Also she has made text illustrations, magazines ones and newspapers, as well as discographic covers, fairytales, design and ceramic decoration like the ceramic mural of Interama Park in Buenos Aires.

Since 1984, she has been worked as teacher in private workshops and oficial ones. From 1990 to present in the Institute Vocational of Arts.

Message for year 2002-2003

I think in that human body is the precise conjunction of coordinates in space and time.

The absolute perception and experience of this simultanity, entail the action of a conscience state: the Worlds materialization.

The human body is the mean one for the manifestation of simultaneous and infinite realities. The only possible means to grafic the fourth dimension like essential state of the human being.

The artwork allows, more precisely the frozen artwork, as a picture is, to be suceptible to the analysis, to enter this experience traves of the contemplation, the senses, the reflection by the conscience, and the same accomplishment by the body, mobilizing and bringing the elementary daily language, the threads connectors and conductors of the language of the Universe.

I set out, with the work, to show that constant, uninterrupted, quiet movement or no, that is the Life; ordered, almost it would say: of mathematical progression.

Comment

The serie " Antiques of Dawns " arises from a poem recounted to these primitive constellations, image appellant from my childhood´s dreams and fantasy have got along development and my own grown up. Primary luminous beings and expanded in the Universe. They are moving and constructing tirelessly, let us see a constant zigzag of luminous lines when they drew worlds, and all the interwoven ones they take part in like as: - day after day situations of effective energy, the conflicts, linking everything arounds us; the vital cycles,what born or die as well as opened or closed, the female and the male, the mystery of the ripeness and the culmination of the Love. The Love as Cosmic mystery.

The life is movement, is a permanent generation, the surprise. Moving still the apparent quietude of the thought because it will take place a gestation and association of ideas. In the pparent quietude of the action, a form a figure, a body, a being, the being, will be create and their plot of relations itself and with the world.

Movement is conduction, the axis, a tension before a conclusion, the balance in the tightrope, uncertain steps and uncertainty in every step; and the visible thing, the image, are the expression and support of the that movement. Then we can be surprised by an unexpected line, it makes appear itself to suggests and crosses one´s mind; the brushstroke discovers, it is depth, color, a light bouncing against the Universe and reflects it, wraps and travels.

I Think visible things and the invisible ones coexist in a precise dynamic and the simultaneity reveals the origin or foundation of the life by infinite thousandth of moments for our perception, and we could not prune to seize it or to define it in its entirety, hardly to feel it. In this way, a knowledging desire shows itself and its own vocation to know that intuitive origins. But desire and concretion of it must conjugate eachother in the challenge of creation:

The bird sings, the singing itself and to listen to the singing, simultaneously.

 I am looking for the image. I want to deepen this grafics:

The singing of the bird, of a bird fenix, while it passes, adorned with feathers men, men that mutate in flight, the freedom of being.

The dance, language of the magic that gives form to the worlds that coexist, which difficultly we challenge ourselves to speak, which definitively I want to inhabit.

Then, such I break or open the form, I break the line or find a shade and I can breath, I can turn my existence ... I can open myself Universe´s fullness. Then, I imagine constellations composing by us and their own permanent transformation, and a evolution or passing could be testified by a negligible atom in the Universe, may be a direction or choice ... a point ,a line, a color, a plane; the human relationship projecting future.
