"When one endeavors to use the paintbrush, one must interrelate the sky and the earth."

PI-FA, Notes on the art of the brush, attributed to King Hao

The work of Klara Beer takes root in this mother-earth, exploring every offshoot into the immateriality of its nebulae. The forms which appear on the canvas are the imbodiments of this universal energy which expresses itself in each painting, where the earth, the air, and water merge into timeless landscapes."

“Klara Beer initiates us to the mystery of sight awareness. This is neither about seeing something nor seeing anything, but to see in the intransitive sense, as when a blind person who recovers his sight says “I see”. It is not a passive observation; it expresses the wonder which transcends sight into vision.

Having renounced translating life by illusionist means, Klara Beer has chosen a more difficult alternative, creating a plastic universe free of any reference to the real world. The dreams generated by this universe last longer than the night.”
